Submit your Abstract

Call for Abstracts

Deadline: Wednesday, May 15, 2019.

You may submit/present two contributions, but you can present only one oral. Co-authorship is not affected.

Students have the opportunity to apply for the student poster award, please indicate it in the submission form accordingly.

The book of abstracts will be published. By sending your abstract(s), all authors agree to the publication of their abstract(s) by the organizer.

During the online submission of your abstract(s), you need to:

  • choose the presentation form of your contribution (poster or oral)
  • assign your abstract(s) to one of our conference themes/sessions;
  • fill into the forms provided by the online system the following information: name, first name & institution, country and e-mail of all authors (co-authors) of your abstract(s).

General Information

Conference language will be English.

GUIDELINES FOR:

Lecture presentation

Duration of oral presentations in the thematic sessions: 15 min.; additionally, there will be about 3 min. for discussion of each paper.

All conference rooms are equipped with computers and a projector. Please bring your presentation files saved on USB stick. The files must be compatible with Windows Office or Open Office. We suggest PowerPoint or PDF (Acrobat).

Upload the presentation in your lecture hall latest in the break before your session starts. An assistant will help you to upload your files.

In case of using videos or audio files, please inform the organizing team as soon as possible.

Poster presentation

Each poster should be the size of the upright German DIN A0-format which equates to

841 mm width x 1,189 mm height (33.11 in x 46.81 in).

Poster boards are 980 mm x 1,470 mm.

Please note that the organizers are not able to provide printout of posters.

We will provide one poster board for each poster. You will find the number of your poster in the list of posters which will be available on-site in Antwerp. Please mount your poster on the board with your poster number. It is only allowed to use special poster strips to fix the posters. You will get the mounting material on-site. The posters will be presented inside the event tent in front of the Schloss where the coffee breaks are served.

 

 

 

Please note the following additional information concerning data protection: At our events you will be asked to wear a name badge. Furthermore, at events organised by us photos might be taken or films shot, members of the press might attend, lectures might be transferred via Skype, there might also be video conferences or live streamings with or without recording. Upon request we will gladly provide you with more details, or ask us on-site during the event.
